Erin turned 18 this February and celebrated with a wonderful party surrounded by her friends and family. The event was organised by Erin’s parents and included live music from a local band, great food from Hog Roast Downham, and plenty of drinks, including a signature cocktail created just for the birthday girl! For the catering, our team was hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, with a few additional dishes to create a varied and nutritious buffet menu. This was sure to be a great addition to the event and would be ideal for breaking up the evening.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Downham team arrived at the venue in the afternoon to prepare for the 8:00pm serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before being expertly carved by our chef. The pork was then served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we also served BBQ-pulled jackfruit and vegetable skewers to ensure that there was something for everyone to enjoy. Alongside the mains, we also served homemade chips, sweet potato fries, a selection of seasonal salad dishes, gourmet coleslaw, and corn cobettes. Our catering was a great addition to the party and was perfect for enjoying alongside plenty of dancing and drinks!
