Recently, Hog Roast Hindley had been hired to cater for a 50th birthday party that had been delayed for the past two years due to COVID-19 disruptions. The event was finally able to take place in 2022 and the 130 guests were all incredibly excited to get to celebrate the milestone at last! Our catering manager Sophie was asked to provide a classic hog roast for the menu, along with a vegetarian option for the guests to enjoy. This is an incredibly versatile menu that always goes down a treat at large events, so we were more than happy to get to work!
On the day of the event, Sophie and the Hog Roast Hindley team arrived at Highfield Cricket Club with plenty of time to prepare for the 20:30 mealtime. We began by roasting the hog and ensuring that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once ready, it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls or a gluten-free alternative. We also served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers for a delicious meat-free option.
The menu was served on disposable cutlery and crockery, as this was the ideal level of formality for the occasion. It was great to see the guests finally getting to celebrate this occasion and our team was happy to be involved with the event!
