Hog Roast Bolton – Christmas Jumper Day Charity Fundraiser

Hog Roast Betws-yn-rhosChristmas is renowned for bringing out the giving side in people. Whether it’s gifts for loved ones or generous donations to those in need, giving back is one of the most important parts of the holiday season, and every year, there are plenty of opportunities to do so.

Christmas Jumper Day, for example, is an annual fundraising campaign hosted by Save The Children that aims to raise money and awareness for deprived children all around the world. This particular campaign has proven to be incredibly popular, and in the lead-up to its 11th year running, the government has pledged to double all donations of £2!

It’s a fun, easy and festive way to help over 200,000 people gain access to a better life and thousands of people across the UK are set to take part this year. The official date for Christmas Jumper Day 2022 is the 8th of December, and Hog Roast Bolton is very much looking forward to helping our client, Sara, with her arrangements for the day.

Sara works at a local high school, where students have been asked to come to class wearing Christmassy jumpers for the day. In exchange for ditching their uniforms, they’ve been asked to pay £1 (or more if they want) into the charity tin.

Hog Roast Betws-yn-rhosTo make the day even more memorable for everyone, Sara has asked Hog Roast Bolton to come along and treat the students and staff to a lovely Christmas lunch, which will see us serve a buffet of juicy turkey meat with cranberry sauce and homemade sage and onion stuffing, along with our own special gravy recipe, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, roasted potatoes and a medley of glazed seasonal vegetables.

Making sure to accommodate the vegetarian and vegan guests, Hog Roast Betws-yn-rhos will be sure to include a meat-free option of BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls on the menu, which will be closely followed by an inclusive dessert option of mince pies with warm brandy cream.

We’ve also been told that the children will be hosting a bake sale, and some of the art students will be offering face painting in order to raise extra cash for charity.

Hog Roast Bolton can’t wait to join in the fun, and we’re confident the day will be a resounding success!
