When Andy approached Hog Roast Eccles to book catering for his staff party, we were more than happy to take on this job. It is a great feeling to reward staff for their hard work, which is exactly what was happening at DPD Manchester. Our catering manager Sophie had many ideas for buffet-style menus that we could provide for the 110 guests- although it was essential for the catering to be entirely Halal. Andy decided on the Southern Slow Roast menu since there are many main dishes available for the guests to choose from.
On the day of the catering, Hog Roast Eccles arrived in the morning to cook and prepare our dishes by the 13:00 serve time. The first dishes to prepare were the meat dishes, including Cajun spiced chickens and minted lamb. The meats are all slow-roasted to perfection and cooked with our delicious homemade rubs and marinades. The meats were served with mac and cheese, corn cobbettes, Greek salad, and baby new potatoes- as well as bread rolls and wraps- with gluten free rolls on offer.
This menu created a wonderfully delicious balanced lunch, which was the perfect way to reward the DPD staff for all of their hard work.
