Responsible for designing, manufacturing and distributing power systems for the aviation and defence industries, this multinational aerospace company plays a pivotal role in our country’s economy and military defence.
Given the important nature of the company, employees at Rolls Royce Plc work tirelessly all year round to meet targets and come up with innovative new designs, and as a result, they definitely deserve a massive thank you for their efforts. So, every year around Christmas time, the Rolls Royce Plc branch on Skipton Road drafts in the Hog Roast Barnoldswick team to treat their 300 staff members to a delicious festive lunch!
You can probably imagine that with 300 mouths to feed, this is always a challenging event for Hog Roast Barnoldswick to handle, but you know us: we live for a challenge! Despite the pressure, we look forward to this event with anticipation and excitement every year, and this year was no different. When the business improvement lead, Sara, got in touch with us to secure a booking, our catering manager, Sophie, was ready and raring to go!
Fast forward to the day of the luncheon, Hog Roast Barnoldswick followed the client’s brief by serving up an inclusive buffet, which was 50% hog roast and 50% halal turkey. Accommodating the needs of Rolls Royce Plc’s vegetarian and vegan staff, our team also made sure to prepare an entirely plant-based option of hickory-steeped pulled jackfruit, which they served on gluten-free rolls with vegan coleslaw.
Complementing the delicious meat options available, Hog Roast Barnoldswick’s catering crew prepared a huge batch of our famous homemade sage and onion stuffing, along with a choice of inclusive side options. The hog roast was paired with crackling and applesauce, which the guests went wild for!
As it is every year, Hog Roast Barnoldswick’s food was a massive talking point for the Rolls Royce Plc staff, and everyone who joined the luncheon left with a full belly and a smile on their face. We can’t wait to lend a helping hand again next year!
