Hog Roast Bury was honoured to be part of something truly special last weekend – helping Cheryl and Robert throw the ultimate send-off bash for their son, Alexander. And trust us, it was a party to remember!
Alexander recently received the opportunity of a lifetime with a dream job offer in sunny Australia. And with excitement in the air and a touch of bittersweet emotion, he made the big decision to trade the North West of England for the land down under. While his family and friends were bursting with pride, there were also a few teary eyes knowing he’d soon be over 10,000 miles away.
But Cheryl and Robert weren’t about to let him leave without a proper goodbye. Oh no! These two pulled off the most epic surprise bon voyage party – and we were lucky enough to be part of it! Over 80 friends and family crammed into their house (and garden), which had been completely transformed with balloons, streamers, banners, and an outdoor drinks station where guests could help themselves to whatever tickled their fancy.
And of course, when it came to food, Hog Roast Bury came through with the goods. We served up our mouth-watering BBQ Menu, and boy – did the guests love it! Juicy handmade beef burgers, sizzling sausages, sticky glazed spareribs, and tender chicken kebabs flew off the grill as fast as we could serve them.
Of course, we didn’t forget the plant-based crowd. Our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls and veggie burgers were an instant hit – even with the die-hard meat lovers (we saw you sneaking bites!).
To top it all off? Roasted veg pasta salad bursting with flavour, our zingy homemade coleslaw, and heaps of crispy fries – both classic and sweet potato – with salt, vinegar, and plenty of sauces for dunking.
With the sun beaming down at a glorious 21°C, and the scent of barbecue in the air, the garden was full of laughter, cheers, and one very grateful soon-to-be Aussie.
