Torr Vale Mill is one of those places that stays with you long after you’ve left. With its original 1800s architecture still proudly on display, this former cotton mill on the banks of the River Goyt has been beautifully reimagined – from factory floor to forevermore. Think barrel-vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls, and striking cast iron columns setting the scene as you and your love start your next chapter.

Our team were recently invited to cater for 140 guests at this incredible menu, and with catering manager, Sophie, at the helm, we’re proud to say everything went off without a hitch. We made sure the entire process was as smooth and simple as possible for our clients. From the first point of contact, to adjusting their guest numbers, right through to delivering a truly sensational spread, Hog Roast High Peak surpassed all expectations, giving our clients peace of mind from day one.
The menu itself was even better than any of the guests could have pictured. Our whole hog roast took centre stage, carefully carved and served on gluten-free or wholemeal rolls with crackling, sage and onion stuffing and applesauce, it was both wholesome and packed full of flavour. Just what the guests needed to fuel a night of revelry!
We rounded out the main with a selection of freshly prepared sides, consisting of tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, gourmet coleslaw with a lemony kick, herby new potatoes and mixed sweet potato and traditional fries with a choice of toppings and sauces. Hog Roast High Peak even worked our magic on the veggie and vegan guests, rustling up some of our plant-based favourites which made sure no one felt left out of the fun.
The client was very thankful to Hog Roast High Peak for all of our hard work and flexibility with this event, which took a huge amount of stress off their shoulders.
